iGreenTree Privacy Policy

iGreenTree Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how iGreenTree (“iGreenTree,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with your use of the iGreenTree website (igreentree.ai), your interactions with us as a prospective or current client, your communications with our team, and your application for employment or contract opportunities with us.

iGreenTree is a vertical-specific business and technology provider serving the energy, utilities, and telecommunications sectors. Our work includes platform engineering, consulting, product development, systems integration, and platform deployment and support - including, in some engagements, acting as an implementation and delivery partner for third-party platforms used by our clients.

This Policy applies to personal information we collect through our website and in the course of our business development, sales, recruitment, and client relationship activities. It does not apply to personal information processed within end-customer-facing systems we build, configure, or support for our clients - see Section 2 for more detail on that distinction.

This Privacy Policy was last updated on June 29, 2026. We may update this Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our practices or to comply with legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy on our website with a new “Last Updated” date.

“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with an identifiable individual - for example, your name, email address, phone number, resume, or company details.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Visitors to the iGreenTree website;
  • Individuals who submit inquiries through our contact form;
  • Prospective clients, business contacts, and partners who communicate with us by email, phone, or in person;
  • Job applicants who apply for open positions through our careers page;
  • Current clients, to the extent personal information is collected outside the scope of a separate signed services or master services agreement.

This Policy does not apply to:

  • Personal information processed within software, platforms, or systems that iGreenTree builds, configures, tests, deploys, or supports on behalf of a client. When iGreenTree provides consulting, implementation, testing, or support services, we typically act as a service provider or processor on behalf of our client and determine how that end-user data is handled. If the data is held in a system operated by one of iGreenTree’s clients, one should refer to that organization’s own privacy policy or contact them directly.
  • Personal information processed by iGreenTree strictly under the terms of a signed services or development agreement with a client (“client project data”). Where we act as a processor under such an agreement, the agreement - not this Policy - governs our handling of that data.
  • Links to third-party websites, including those of our partners or clients. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate, and we encourage you to review their policies separately.

3. Who Is Responsible for Your Information

iGreenTree is the entity responsible for the collection and use of personal information described in this Privacy Policy, across our offices in the United States and India. If you have questions about this Policy or how your information is handled, you can contact us using the details in Section 14.

4. What Information We Collect

Information you provide to us directly

  • Name, email address, phone number, and company name, when submitted through our contact form, by email, or in business meetings;
  • Job title and details about your business needs or project inquiry, where provided;
  • If you apply for a position with us: your name, email address, phone number, company (if applicable), preferred work location, resume/CV, and any other information you choose to include in your application or attached documents.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use our site. This may collect:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location;
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system;
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring website; and
  • Cookie identifiers used to distinguish unique visitors.

We do not knowingly collect financial account information, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information through our website or careers page, and we ask that you not include such information in any form submission or resume unless specifically required as part of a formal hiring or background-check process.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information described above for the following purposes:

  • To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form and to communicate with prospective and current clients and partners;
  • To evaluate job applications, communicate with candidates, and administer our recruitment process;
  • To understand and improve how visitors use our website, using aggregated analytics where possible;
  • To maintain the security and proper functioning of our website;
  • To send you information about our services if you have requested it, and to allow you to opt out at any time; and
  • To comply with applicable laws, respond to legal requests, and protect our legal rights.

We do not sell personal information.

6. How Long We Retain Information

  • Contact form submissions and related correspondence are retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward, or longer if required to maintain business records.
  • Job application data, including resumes, is retained for the duration of the hiring process and for a reasonable period afterward in case a suitable future role arises, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or applicable law requires a different period.
  • If you become a client or partner, information related to that relationship is retained for the duration of the engagement and for a period after, consistent with standard recordkeeping and legal requirements.
  • Website analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s standard retention settings.

7. When and How We Disclose Information

iGreenTree does not sell personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With service providers who support our business operations, such as website analytics providers, email and recruitment platform providers, and IT infrastructure providers, who process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services to us;
  • With technology and ecosystem partners, solely where necessary to coordinate a joint client engagement you are already part of, and only to the extent relevant to that engagement;
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction;
  • With your consent, in any other circumstance not described above.

8. Cross-Border Data Handling

iGreenTree operates from offices in the United States (Irvine, California) and India (Bangalore and Mysore). Depending on where you interact with us, your personal information may be collected, stored, or processed in either country. Where personal information originating in India is transferred outside India, or personal information originating elsewhere is processed by our India-based teams, we take steps designed to handle that information consistently with applicable cross-border transfer requirements, including those under the DPDP Act.

9. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to help us understand site traffic and visitor behavior. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that allow a website to recognize your browser.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect certain website functionality. We do not currently use cookies for targeted advertising.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access - You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction - You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion - You can request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, including resumes or application materials, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Withdraw consent - Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, including for marketing communications.

12. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are directed to businesses, professionals, and job applicants - not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
